To date we appear to be meeting our budgeted targets for 2009. Unrestricted funds are showing a surplus of £6,000 and are on budget. This excludes the roofing work which cost £21,850, included additional work on the flat roof and was close to estimated costs. This was covered by 2008′s surplus and the building fund, currently at £8,587 was not used.

The increased regular giving and boost through the April offering have enabled us to go ahead with employing a student worker (Liz Dixon from the beginning of September), to press on with finding a youth worker and plan towards continued resourcing for the Hope counselling service and future missional initiatives.

Building redevelopment is still a live matter with a 3-5 year timescale envisaged and a staged approach adopted and supported by prophetic mountain imagery of a series of ‘mini ascents’. Missional initiatives are not seen as solely and directly tied to the development of the King’s Hall.

Amendment to the 2008 accounts. Due to an oversight in not paying contracted employer pension payments there has been an adjustment of a further £1,200 on the 2008 accounts.
