Starting in January 2009 in our Sunday morning gatherings, Rupert Ward has been teaching on some of the most famous but often ignored sayings of Jesus, called the Sermon on the Mount, which can found in Mt 5-7.

You can listen to the sermons here.

The Sermon on the Mount outlines vision Jesus has for a new kind of society or community, a prototype community living in lights of a new era that is dawning in the world, which he calls the Kingdom of God (or Kingdom of Heaven). It it is live that is lived in light of God’s big story of making all things new, dependent on God’s life and presence enabling human beings to become more fully human as Jesus is.

Going through the Bible on a daily basis, we are looking at the adventure of God and man over the course of 2010. As we go along the year Colin Symes is creating study notes to aid us, for each day. Whether you want to follow through daily or you want to focus in on any specific Scriptures already covered, Colin’s up to date notes are available here (these notes will be updated periodically throughout until the end of 2010).
