They broke bread together in their homes and ate together
with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying
the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their
number daily those who were being saved. |

Our Father wants his church to be a family. At Community Church
we're learning how to create a place where we know we have
people around to encourage and sharpen us. We recognise that
these relationships need to grow naturally as people find
their feet and their friends.
Friendships
have grown and flourished over the years as God has connected
us with folk we know we can share our hearts with. Out of
these friendships, groups within the church (called "cells")
have formed. Cells meet a number of times a month and are
an informal place where we can open-up, share our stories
of joy and hurt and see the power of the Holy Spirit heal
our pain and quicken our spirits to reach the lost. We relax,
we worship, we pray, and we read God's great story in the
Scriptures, depending on what God wants us to do from week
to week.
Each group,
averaging 10 to 12 people, has its own personality and character,
depending on the personalities and visions of individual cell
members. Each group has one or two cell leaders who are accountable
to and supported by a member of the CCE staff team. They're
there as a focal point, to release and guide, serve and inspire.
Because
God is teaching us about being a family together, we encourage
everyone in Community Church to be part of a Cell Group, so
that everyone feels included in the family. Most find that
they're too good to miss!!
If you wish to get involved in a cell group please contact
