The Sermon on the Mount outlines vision Jesus has for a new kind of society or community, a prototype community living in lights of a new era that is dawning in the world, which he calls the Kingdom of God (or Kingdom of Heaven).  It it is live that is lived in light of God’s big story of making all things new, dependent on God’s life and presence enabling human beings to become more fully human as Jesus is.

We are now in the approach to this exciting weekend, celebrating 25 years of King’s Hall on South Clerk Street; we will be opening up the building to welcome in all-comers as part of the city’s Doors Open weekend, organized by the Cockburn Association. We will have a number of folks to help guide people around the building, and tell the story of this, one of the first purpose-built Disruption church buildings of the Free Church dating from 1843.  

Also, there will be some live, pleasant background music to complement our café, which will be running during the afternoons.

Entry is free.
