Adam
Hook (aged 9) writes about the walk up Schiehallion:
"It
was challenging because it was steep and tiring and windy,
but near the top it was less windy and so easier. We had
a few stops and rests. The path disappeared and became rocks.
When I came to the first summit, I thought it was the top
and when I heard it was a false summit I was quite annoyed.
The top was far away but we came to a snowy bit. I took
Stephan's hand and he helped me over the rocky bits. The
last bit was steep and rocky with no wind at the top. I
had lunch with two hot chocolates. On the way down we decided
to sledge down on orange survival bags. On my last go I
went down backwards, reached moss and rolled off. At the
bottom Stephan got his storm kettle out and the adults had
tea."
