Gift
of Hope

Last Saturday, a small group of people found themselves sitting
in the plush surroundings of Edinburgh's newly refurbished
Blood Donor Centre. Forms were filled out, a few questions
answered, simple blood tests completed and before we knew
it we were in the capable hands of the centre's nurses.
The
staff performed their tasks with care and ease, guiding us
through each stage of the process. After 20 minutes of small
talk (I ended up talking at length about the particular shade
of magnolia they've now covered every inch of the centre in)
we were directed to the cafe for complementary refreshments.
Here over coffee & Tunnock's teacakes we chatted &
enjoyed that warm fuzzy feeling that comes with saving lives
& free biscuits.
