Leaders and Staff
We believe that leaders are needed for the church to function probably and are inspired by the model that Jesus leaves us: to serve, rather than “lord it over” people.
We also believe that both men and women can lead, and should always be part of team (the lone “pastor” is not found in the New Testament!). So we seek to serve & empower people, to discover what God is doing in an individual and help them become all that God is calling them to be.
So in Community Church we have a leadership team, a group of people called by God, to lead the church together. Each member of the leadership team have responsibility for different areas of church life. Colin has responsibility to lead the team, to enable each member of the team to function well, to facilitate the smooth running of the team together, and to keep the church focused on our agreed mission.
