David qualified as an architect, graduating in 1980, but has been on the leadership staff for many years, serving as one of the elders. He and his wife Maggie have two children. David has built up strong links with several churches in East Africa and began the Africa Fund in 2001. In 2006 the Lord led them to acquire a run down church building at Newcraighall, on the edge of the city, and establish it as a house of prayer and worship. David has since been released to form ‘Wellsprings Community’ there, a new church with family links to CCE. He is supported part-time still, and occasionally teaches at Sunday meetings in the King’s Hall, is involved in some pastoral care and has a passion for the prophetic, but now mainly looks after building-related areas.
