Rupert Ward, Leadership Team
Rupert arrived at Edinburgh University to study maths in 1989; but having a clear vocation to paid Church Ministry, 
he changed his degree to Divinity, graduating in 1993.
While studying, the student community at the church (then called Edinburgh City Fellowship) had mushroomed, and, on graduating, he started working for the church as the student worker. This quickly evolved into wider responsibilities, and by 1995 he was part of the Leadership Team of the church, of which he has remained a part ever since.
A gifted communicator, he loves to preach (and talk), but also to listen to people as he is involved with mentoring and counselling in the church. He also enjoys exploring new ideas, and so is involved in Echo, an emerging missional community within CCE.
Rupert is married to Pippa, and they have 3 small children: Toby, Caspar and Jemimah.
