Relationships are at the heart of Community Church Edinburgh. We're leaning that only in relationship can we discover our true identity, and that relationships are also the means by which we can know the abundance of life the Father has promised us.
We meet mid-week in small cell groups defined by close friendships, mutual care and an outward focus, coming together at the weekend to celebrate and share in a bigger context. [ Cells ]
Community
Church is connected to Cornerstone Network (c.net), a U.K-wide
family of local churches working together to realise Christ's
vision for the nation. Our leaders relate to the team based
at Southampton Community Church, and through them to leaders
nation-wide. [ Cornerstone
]
We have also formed strong relationships in Edinburgh's Christian community, particularly in the Newington area of the city through the Newington Council of Church Leaders. These relationships have developed across denominational boundaries, bringing vitality to the church and making unity the context of our service to the city.
[ Unity ]
Further afield, through the Fellowship of Scottish Charismatic Church Leaders, we have built strong connections with congregations across the nation of Scotland. We also cherish links in Uganda, Poland, Slovakia and Kenya. [ Mission ]
Perhaps most of all, however, the relationships we have outside the church (at school, work and in the larger community) are the centre of our focus. We're learning to make the most of every opportunity we get to form, cement and bless those friendships, reflecting God in them as truly as we can. [ Evangelism ]
