Counselling Training
We regularly run training courses, to train counsellors (and people involved in other caring roles within the church or in their profession). All courses are recognised by the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC) and accredited by the Open College Network (OCN).
Introduction to Christian Counselling (Level 2 NOCN)
The introduction course is run over 3 weekends, this is a brilliant course for anyone who is interested in learning more about people, listening skills, and self-awareness and is appropriate for people for are involved in pastoral work, interested in becoming a counsellor, or who are involved in a caring profession. Christian Counselling Model & Practice (Level 3 OCN)
(previously named Certificate in Christian Counselling)
Applicants need to have completed the CCTS Introduction to Christian Counselling course or equivalent before applying for OCN Level 3. The course is relevant for anyone who wishes to train for a significant role in Christian counselling and pastoral care and takes skills, theory and self-awareness to a deeper level. Spread over 11 weekends and 12-18 months, the course will benefit anyone who professionally or in their churches wants to hone their people skills or might be interested in becoming a counsellor.
