At Community Church we’re learning that the Father sends us abroad to receive as much as to give. And he draws people to Scotland to give as much as to receive.

Our commitment to mission abroad matches our desire to release internationals into all that God has for them in Scotland. Life flows both ways – our church has grown as much from our connection with fellowships in eastern Europe and Africa as they have from us.

Our focus is to build ongoing, deep relationships between congregations, not just leaders. So
we’re also committed to supporting individuals with the drive and passion to forge their own links
with other nations, serving in any capacity God calls them to.

Slovakia

Community Church Edinburgh and the River of Life Fellowship in Podolinec, Northern Slovakia have been connected since 1994. This confluence of Protestant and Catholic traditions has changed both fellowships indelibly. Teams from Community Church regularly travel to Slovakia to give of all that we’ve received, but invariably return with more than we left with.

Poland

Community Church Edinburgh has links with friends and communities in Poland going back over 20 years, to the days of Solidarity. Currently, we are in contact mainly with Roman Catholic communities in Pruszkow (near Warsaw), Lublin and Krakow, and look forward to developing the bridges we have built into the future.

Uganda

Links with Uganda go back to the mid 1980’s, and since 1994 a ‘Bodyserve Team’ has travelled out each August to support and encourage our friends in the Deliverance Church. They have mainly visited Soroti, Mbale and Tororo in the east, but more recently Ania in the north-west.

Kenya

Since 1998 we have developed a relational link with Christ Church Kisumu on the shores of Lake Victoria.
