| We
have tried to make the weekend affordable to all, in the
hope that everyone can join in (costs are about £10
more than last year, due to the season) Please speak to
us if cost or cash flow is a difficulty, but we would
ask that all payments are made by the end of April. |
| Registration |
Every
Sunday after church. You need to fill out the application
form provided at the desk. Deposit of £10 required
at time of registration, with balance due no later than
the end of April. Please also sign up to paid activities
at the same time (see details below). A photograph will
be taken of you at time of registration for the ID badge
at the weekend. |
Following
the enthusiastic feedback from the first Houseparty at
Whitaugh last year, we have booked a second weekend away together
over the Edinburgh May holiday weekend (with the option to
stay over to the Monday).
The
aim is to have a relaxed weekend for all ages, to deepen
our relationships as a community. Like last year we will all
be together at certain times, but you will also have the chance
to do your own thing, partcipating in the smorgasbord of activities,
or just 'chilling' with friends.
Accommodation
Modern Scandinavian lodges, with mainly shared but some single
rooms. All have duvets & pillows, but you are asked to
bring your own bed-linen. The centre was originally built
as a timeshare venture, and is now run by a Christian Trust.
Meals
Food is included in the cost: Friday evening to Sunday lunch
(with cooked meals for Saturday evening and Sunday lunchtime),
served in 4 dining-rooms (separate lodges). 'Veggie' options
will be available. No food is provided for Monday.
Free activities
20 metre indoor heated swimming pool, large recreation hall
(basketball, volleyball, badminton, short tennis, unihoc),
football pitch, tunnel & cave maze (to be booked), ropes
course, nearby forestry commission trail, table tennis &
snooker.
Instructed activities (cost £7.50 per session to
be booked with application, minimum number 8 people - see
separate sheet); archery, climbing or abseiling on 32' outdoor
climbing wall, kayaking, raft building. Also paintballing
(cost £17, minimum number 12 people, minimum age 13).
Please sign up for these when booking and pay by end of April.
