We have tried to make the weekend affordable to all, in the hope that everyone can join in (costs are about £10 more than last year, due to the season) Please speak to us if cost or cash flow is a difficulty, but we would ask that all payments are made by the end of April.
Registration Every Sunday after church. You need to fill out the application form provided at the desk. Deposit of £10 required at time of registration, with balance due no later than the end of April. Please also sign up to paid activities at the same time (see details below). A photograph will be taken of you at time of registration for the ID badge at the weekend.

Following the enthusiastic feedback from the first Houseparty at Whitaugh last year, we have booked a second weekend away together over the Edinburgh May holiday weekend (with the option to stay over to the Monday).

The aim is to have a relaxed weekend for all ages, to deepen our relationships as a community. Like last year we will all be together at certain times, but you will also have the chance to do your own thing, partcipating in the smorgasbord of activities, or just 'chilling' with friends.

Accommodation
Modern Scandinavian lodges, with mainly shared but some single rooms. All have duvets & pillows, but you are asked to bring your own bed-linen. The centre was originally built as a timeshare venture, and is now run by a Christian Trust.

Meals
Food is included in the cost: Friday evening to Sunday lunch (with cooked meals for Saturday evening and Sunday lunchtime), served in 4 dining-rooms (separate lodges). 'Veggie' options will be available. No food is provided for Monday.

Free activities

20 metre indoor heated swimming pool, large recreation hall (basketball, volleyball, badminton, short tennis, unihoc), football pitch, tunnel & cave maze (to be booked), ropes course, nearby forestry commission trail, table tennis & snooker.

Instructed activities
(cost £7.50 per session to be booked with application, minimum number 8 people - see separate sheet); archery, climbing or abseiling on 32' outdoor climbing wall, kayaking, raft building. Also paintballing (cost £17, minimum number 12 people, minimum age 13). Please sign up for these when booking and pay by end of April.

Outline programme
(as far as we know at the moment - pretty similar to last year!)

Friday evening arrive, eat, settle in and 'welcome time' together
Saturday daytime multifarious activities, from sport to scrabble, creative arts, prayer room, workshops, kids videos and outdoor activities - even a quiet reading area (if you have exams coming up, bring your books - or not!)
Saturday evening 'cabaret' with some ceilidh dancing, followed by some more storytelling…
Sunday morning combined worship, with bread & wine.
Sunday afternoon more activities after lunch, with a barbecue in the evening at 5.30pm
Monday spend an extra day exploring the area, or using the facilities on-site

Travel Arrangements
by car - lifts can be arranged (let us know if you need help with this). Allow at least 90 minutes for travel time from the Edinburgh Bypass to Whitaugh.

Anything else?
Speak to Barrie Walker, Paul Ede, Renata Moore or David Hewitt (the Organisers) or email whithaugh@cce.uk.net
Further details and travel directions will be sent to you prior to the weekend

Monday extension
If you want to take advantage of the holiday weekend, and stay over to the next day, this can be arranged, cost £12.95 per person (£6.50 5-7yrs, under 5s free), booked at time of application. Your chalet must be vacated by noon, but many on-site facilities will be available all day. Enjoy some walks in the local area!

We would like to take a photo of all adults booking in, for help us all put a name to the face, and get to know everyone over the weekend! All adults should come to the booking table so we may do this.

PLEASE BOOK AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE AT THE TABLE AT THE BACK OF THE AUDITORIUM, WITH A DEPOSIT OF £10 PER ADULT.
BALANCE MUST BE PAID BY END OF APRIL.
